This weekend, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a potentially consequential bill into law, allowing Chicago principals to unionize. Now, the Chicago Principals and Administrators Association (CPAA) is garnering support from principals before submitting an official union request to CPS, according to CPAA President Troy LaRaviere. Reporter Isabella Russomanno has more on the future of a possible union and why it might make a difference.

A historic run came to a close last Wednesday, as Lane Tech Girls Basketball fell in the Chicago Public League semifinals after a six-game win streak. This marked the first semifinal appearance in program history. Now, the team turns attention to state playoffs, beginning with a regional semifinal matchup against Glenbrook North tonight. Reporters Nolan Moss and Zach Sharpe have more on Lane’s recent success, starting with a big win on Senior Night
