The LSC convened last Thursday for their November meeting. There, Principal Thompson announced an upcoming exhaust system upgrade and gave an update on “Champions Hour”. In addition to this, many fall athletes were honored with resolutions as the fall sports season concludes. Editor-in-Chief Alex Burstein has more on the meeting.

It’s giving season, and Lane Tech students are getting involved with giving back to their communities. From Feeding the Need to Cradles to Crayons, there are many student clubs that are dedicated to ensuring that others are cared for. They report feelings of fulfillment and pride at being able to make a difference, and encourage other people to get involved. Especially with it being Thanksgiving, a time where food insecurity is highlighted, this coming break is an excellent time to volunteer. Editor-In-Chief Saskia McDonogh Mooney has more on the spirit of giving and good Samaritans of Lane Tech.

Arts and Entertainment

Netflix

"''The School for Good and Evil' did have a heartfelt message on friendship, and didn't stray from the central themes and takeaways from the original book. One aspect that I did enjoy from this movie was the way it depicted how not everyone is 100% good or evil, and it even showed the hypocrisy within the supposed School for Good….while, in my opinion, this movie didn’t live up to the expectations set by the book. If you read the book series as a kid, I would say that 'The School for Good and Evil' is definitely worth a watch just for nostalgia’s sake,” writes A&E Editor Nina Figurelli in her review of the School for Good and Evil movie adaptation on Netflix.
