Midnight Traveller, is streaming through August 25th at 9:00pm

Midnight Traveller is a gripping vérité story made by a family on the run. Hassan, his wife Fatima, and their daughters shot this autobiographical film, which began when they sought and were rejected for refugee protection, and follows them along the notorious Balkan smuggling route. As they experienced increasingly degrading circumstances, the family latched on to filmmaking as a way to not just survive, but retain their humanity. Watch the trailer here.

VOLUNTEER
We are forming volunteer support teams who will work together to help resettle refugees and Afghan SIVs (Special Immigrant Visa recipients) who have begun to arrive. Our goal is to provide a warm welcome to newly arriving families, help them acclimate to a new country and culture, and provide a support network to attain self-sufficiency. Volunteer roles include helping furnish and apartment; curating essential items like clothes, cleaning products, kitchen ware;  offering mentoring to prepare resumes and how to search for employment; driving lessons; help enrolling children in school; and more.

Please submit our volunteer form to let us know your volunteer interests and any special skills. We will be in touch with you to form a team, or you can form your own team of volunteers of 5-8 people.

Email us at
OCJewishCoalitionforRefugees@gmail.com with any questions.
