Capital Metro's Project Connect team invites you to join us this evening at 7 PM for a detailed look at potential transit solutions in the Riverside Corridor. Capital Metro is working with the City of Austin's Mobility Bond Program and Austin Strategic Mobility Plan to identify transportation solutions for our future.

East Riverside Drive is one of eight corridors identified as potential locations for high-capacity transit service in Austin. We'll discuss what this kind of service might mean for our neighborhood and get your feedback on the different forms it could take.

It's critical that they hear from others in our neighborhood as well, so if you’re interested in helping Capital Metro get more feedback, they will send you home with a "meeting-in-a-box" you can easily conduct with your neighbors.

Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metropolitan Park Channel Stabilization:

Severe erosion has occurred along an artificial drainage channel, known as Country Club West, in Roy G. Guerrero Park. The erosion threatens the ball fields, trails and parkland, and makes the channel too unstable to support a new bridge.

The Watershed Protection Department has started to work on a project to slow erosion in Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metropolitan Park before it moves farther upstream into the park. This project is located between the ball fields, trail and disc golf course; there will be construction activity in this area over the next few months. Limestone rock will be used to protect the soil and help hold it in place.
