Onyx Monthly Newsletter
“November: The last month of autumn, but the beginning of a new adventure; time to take a risk and do the unexpected. “ ~ Unknown
We are here..and so is November.
Only two more months and 2021 will come to an end; time flies when you’re having fun right? As we move into the last days of the year, it’s good to take a moment to reflect on the last 10 months, and all that we’ve accomplished!
Along with continuing to make an impact in our community, Onyx Therapy Group has also launched two new channels to get you your regular dose of mental health advice. The Onyx Blog officially launched last month, featuring articles written by our wonderful clinical and educational teams. Published weekly on Wednesdays, the Blog focuses on mental health topics our staff deems important and wants to share with all of you!
You can read all of the current articles on our website www.onyxtherapygroup.com.
We’ve also officially launched Onyx Therapy Group - The Podcast, available wherever you listen to podcasts! Starting with releasing previous episodes of Dr. Plummer's LinkedIn Live series, "Spillin' the Tea w/ Dr. P.," episodes 1-5 are available now. With conversations ranging in topic from wellness and mental health, children during the pandemic, the Black history behind the beverage industry, providing education opportunities for Black students, and more, stay tuned every Friday for new episodes of Spillin’ the Tea.
‘Tis the season for stress inducing vibes, BUT we can counteract these vibes if we stay ready!
November 3rd is National Stress Awareness Day and this comes at a perfect time, as we gear up for the holiday season. A season of mental uncertainty, it is a time where you may feel triggered, overwhelmed in thought and unhappy. It’s not always festive, it can be a time where negative feelings and emotions are rehashed, memories of loss come up, and family time can be less than pleasant. With The Day of Listening on November 26th, we can use this day to listen to ourselves. To do whatever it is that we feel is right for ourselves.
This is the time to think about the relationships that we have fostered and the ones that have lost their way over the years. We don’t have to hold space for anyone, but ourselves, and those that hold positive spaces for our mental and emotional health, too!
Honor our Veterans
We honor those who have served our country and given their time and commitment to a greater cause. We especially love this holiday because we get to honor Dr. Plummer for the time she spent overseas as a young woman, we know that her experience in the Army really cultivated the woman that she is today.
Onyx Therapy Group salutes and supports all of our Veterans.
The months are just melting away and there’s only two months left of 2021! Don’t worry though, Onyx is still working hard to help those in need manage their mental health problems. As things begin to shift with new rules and regulations, and of course our everyday issues, Onyx is here to help.
