Onyx Monthly NewsletterOctober 2022 |
Greetings Onyx Family!! How was your September? We focused on our mental health in ALL ways and made sure that as a therapy group, we allowed our community to know and understand the importance of doing this on the daily. September was Suicide Prevention Month and also #SelfCareSeptember and while both of these moments in the month are quite different, they both touch on taking care of ourselves. Go on over to our Instagram account and look at some pointers on ways you can help a loved one who may need your support. You can also see how Onyx team members practice self-care in their lives as well! |
As we look forward to the remaining months of 2022, we at Onyx want to ensure that everyone has the necessary tools to enter into the holiday season. October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, and Onyx Therapy Group is a comprehensive mental health company that believes in early screening, as a form of awareness, intervention, and treatment. In our direct services to adolescent and adult clients, we provide screenings for mental health and mental illness via our Mental Status Exams, Broadband assessments, and specialized assessments. For our clients that are young children, we provide a range of psychological, social, and academic screenings and assessments. With these efforts, we have been able to support clients, of all ages, in their healing, awareness, and transformation journey. |
October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A senstitive topics for both victims and their supporters, Dr. Plummer discussed the issue with fellow entreprepenur, Melva LaJoy, for a 2021 episode of Spillin’ the Tea w/ Dr. P. You can watch the full the video here. |
