.Now that we (and you if you were there) have come down from our high that was Onyx’s 1st Annual Vision Board Party, we want to express a sincere THANK YOU to our Onyx Therapy Group community for showing up and showing out with us. 10 years ago, Dr. Plummer and her best friend and business partner Ayana had a vision for a mental health company rooted in the Black & Brown communities. As their vision manifested over the past 10 years, Dr. Plummer wanted to recreate a vision and manifestation process with our community and our vision board event was born! HAPPY 10 YEAR TO US, THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!! |

February welcomes in Black History Month, and it strikes two different places in our minds and hearts, but the root of it all is love. Black History Month, as we know, is all year round in our eyes, (put your fists and lighters up) but this is the month America has decided to highlight us in all of our beautiful glory as Black and Brown people. The celebration of love and life for Black people will never cease and as much as there is turmoil living in 2023, there is joy as well. |

As we know, most representations of African Americans throughout American history have downplayed our bonds of affection with the ones we love, and have purposefully avoided showing how we have an immense amount of value that is ingrained in our being. But here at Onyx, we WILL showcase the love for our people and Black love - PERIOD. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

February 23rd: Northwest Regional Equity Conference Dr. Plummer leads a panel at the NW Regional Equity Conference at Clark College. This conference aims to improve equitable, sustainable experiences and outcomes for systemically marginalized and underrepresented populations through inclusive and anti-racist strategies. This conference is geared toward educators, administrators, non-profit, governmental, and other professionals and individuals across the region who would like to broaden their social justice knowledge or remove institutional barriers for systemically underrepresented populations. |

February 25th : Cecily’s Advocacy Conference Dr Plummer will join a panel discussion on how to “Decode The Kid Code.” The panel will discuss how to help parents read the signs children are trying to send, and will offer strategies from various developmental levels, professional perspectives, and age groups. |
