Dear friend,

A short message on this cold New Year’s Eve to invite you to think about your intention for 2021.  As many do, I like to take a little space to do some reflection at this time of year.  This morning I got out very early – I couldn’t resist the blanket of white frost covering the world outside.  I ran, I walked, I stood still, I took photos and then swam in the freezing Irish sea.

It came to me how I am grateful for so many things as this year draws to a close - Click here for my short video message.  Also my intention for 2021 to Start Close In – to keep it simple and to notice who and what I have in my life.  In the words of David Whyte, "Start with the ground you know, the pale ground beneath your feet" very apt for this morning with frozen ground all around.

Will be in touch soon as have a few wonderful offerings for 2021, including a  5-day online retreat with Grace Bell - 'Waking up to the LOVE of your life..... YOU' (4 – 7th February & 14 February 2021), a 7-day Press Pause Retreat F2F on Lambay Island, May 2021. To register for these and other events or express your interest, click here for details.

So, what is your intention for 2021? Does not have to be something grand… it’s just an intention after all.

Wishing you peace inside and out in 2021.

Love, Nadine

START CLOSE IN © David Whyte

Start close in,
don’t take
the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t
want to take.

Start with
the ground
you know,
the pale ground
beneath your feet,
your own
way to begin
the conversation.

Start with your own
question,
give up on other
people’s questions,
don’t let them
smother something
simple.

To hear
another’s voice,
follow
your own voice,
wait until
that voice
becomes an
intimate
private ear
that can
really listen
to another.

Start right now
take a small step
you can call your own
don’t follow
someone else’s
heroics,
be humble
and focused,
start close in,
don’t mistake
that other
for your own.

Start close in,
don’t take
the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t
want to take.
