2 Corinthians 9:6, “Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.”

One of the principles of this world is that we reap what we sow. When we plant corn seeds, we harvest the corn. When we plant soybeans, we reap soybeans. Whatever we sow, we reap the fruit.

The same principle applies to faith. Whatever we sow by faith, we will reap the fruit. In particular, through 2 Corinthians 9:6-15, the Apostle Paul exhorts us to sow generosity. When we sow the seed of generosity on this earth, God promises we will experience the generosity of God. But that doesn't mean we will be financially rich. Rather, it means that God remembers our sharing and allows us to experience God's generosity.

The generosity of God is this. No matter what situation we are in, God meets our needs and continues to provide us with resources to help others. So, our sharing becomes a channel for others to experience the generosity of God. And it floods our souls and lives with great joy and gratitude.

Those who are blessed and rich before God are not those who have a lot of money. They are generous and willing to share with others (1 Timothy 6:18). God pays attention to such people and remembers their good deeds. God has given us all seeds (body, time, money, talent, etc.). Whatever we sow with that seed, we will experience the fruit.

Are you generous to others? Are you experiencing the generosity of God? Are there areas in your life where you need to be more generous?

Pastor Yosub Namgung
