Welcome and Announcements

Hymn:   Morning Has Broken   UMH 145
1. Morning has broken like the first morning; blackbird has spoken like the first bird. Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning! Praise for them, springing fresh from the Word!

Hymn:   I Love You, Lord   TFWS 2068
I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you, O my soul rejoice. Take joy, my King, in what you hear, may it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear.

Hymn:   He Touched Me   UMH 367
2.  Since I met this blessed Savior, since he cleansed and made me whole, I will never cease to praise him; I’ll shout it while eternity rolls.  He touched me, O he touched me, and O the joy that floods my soul! Something happened, and now I know, he touched me and made me whole.

Hymn:   Amazing Grace   UMH 378
4.  The Lord has promised good to me, his word my hope secures; he will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures.

Jesus, Name Above All Names   TFWS 2071
Jesus, name above all names, beautiful Savior, glorious Lord.  Emmanuel, God is with us, blessed Redeemer, living Word.

Give Thanks   TFWS 2036
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks because he’s given Jesus Christ his Son. And now let the weak say, “I am strong”; let the poor say, “I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us.”

Sanctuary   TFWS 2064
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 23:23-29 (NIV)
“Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord, “And not a God far off? 24 Can a person hide himself in hiding places so that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. 25 “I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream! 26 How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, these prophets of the deceitfulness of their own heart, 27 who intend to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they report to one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal? 28 The prophet who has a dream may report his dream, but let him who has My word speak My word truthfully. What does straw have in common with grain?” declares the Lord. 29 “Is My word not like fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock?

Joys and Concerns

Hymn:   Sweet, Sweet Spirit  UMH 334
There’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place, and I know that it’s the Spirit of the Lord; there are sweet expressions on each face, and I know they feel the presence of the Lord. Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly Dove, stay right here with us, filling us with your love; and for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise; without a doubt we’ll know that we have been revived when we shall leave this place.

Hymn:   Lord, I Lift Your Name on High   TFWS 2088
Lord, I lift your name on high; Lord, I love to sing your praises.  I’m so glad you’re in my life; I’m so glad you came to save us. You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross my debt to pay; from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift your name on high.

Hymn:   Great Is Thy Faithfulness   UMH 140
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; there is no shadow of turning with thee; thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be. Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Hymn:   Just as I Am, Without One Plea   UMH 357
Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Hymn:   I Surrender All   UMH 354
All to Jesus I surrender; all to him I freely give; I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live. I  surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee, my blessed Savior, I surrender all.

Hymn:   Blessed Assurance  UMH 369
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Hymn:   I'll Fly Away  TFWS 2282
Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away; to a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away. I’ll fly away, O glory, I’ll fly away. When I die, hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away.

Hymn:   Father, I Adore You   TFWS 2038
Father, I adore you, lay my life before you; how I love you. Jesus, I adore you, lay my life before you; how I love you. Spirit, I adore you, lay my life before you, how I love you.

Hymn:   The Lily of the Valley   TFWS 2062
I have found a friend in Jesus, he’s everything to me, he’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul; the Lily of the Valley, in him alone I see all I need to cleanse and make me fully whole. In sorrow he’s my comfort, in trouble he’s my stay, he tells me every care on him to roll. He’s the Lily of the Valley, the bright and Morning Star, he’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

Hymn:   Bind Us Together   TFWS 2226
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together with cords that cannot be broken.  Bind us together, Lord, bind us together, Lord, bind us together in love.  There is only one God, there is only one King; there is only one body, that is why we sing.
