Greeting and Welcome
Prelude - What Wondrous Love Is This
Centering Words (Pastor)
As we walk through the journey of Lent, we realize the depth of Jesus’ amazing love toward us. We want to respond with the same kind of love and commitment but sometimes we fail to love Jesus as he loves us. Still, Jesus never stops loving us!
Call to Worship (Responsive)
We are God’s people, gathered from many places!
We come to give thanks and to proclaim God’s love.
This gift of love has no end!
We receive this gift with open hearts.
This amazing love cannot be denied!
We are embraced by this love as we worship His name.
Opening Prayer (Unison)
Gracious and loving God, on this Lenten journey, help us grow in our faith and in our relationship with you. Open our hearts to your love. Open our eyes to the light of your Son. Open our hands to the work of your Holy Spirit. Help us share your grace and follow the path that leads to new life.
In the name of Christ, we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Lord, when reading the story of your passion and death, it is easy to criticize those who turned their backs on you. Help us see in our own lives where we have failed to stay close to you in prayer, where we have denied you, where we have betrayed you, where we have stood by silently while others hated one another. Forgive us, Lord, and have mercy on us. Save us in your steadfast love. Amen.
Words of Assurance (Responsive)
Let us thank the Lord, who has forgiven us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!
Thanks be to God!
