Save the Date! The NEHT 2019 Conference will take place
at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara

We are happy to announce that the second NEHT meeting will take place at the Middle East Technical University in June 2019. We will be posting more information once the date and venue is set with the METU administration.

Ottoman historian Camille Cole wins the prestigious
Joel A. Tarr Envirotech Article Prize 

Camille Cole,  a PhD candidate in the History Department at Yale University and a member of our network, received the prestigious Joel A. Tarr Envirotech Article Prize. Cole’s award-winning article, “Precarious Empires: A Social and Environmental History of Steam Navigation on the Tigris,” was published in the Journal of Social History in September 2016.

The 3rd World Congress of Environmental History
 
The International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations (ICEHO) invites proposals for the 3rd World Congress of Environmental History, to be held in 22-26 July 2019 in Florianópolis, Brasil. Deadline for submissions is: 10 September 2018 All details can be found at the congress website.
