10th Biennial conference of the European Society for Environmental History 
"Boundaries in/of Environmental History"


Tallinn, Estonia, 21 to 25 August 2019

The European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) has just released the CfP for the 10th biennial conference that will take place in Tallinn, Estonia on 19-21 August 2019. The conference will be hosted by the Estonian Centre for Environmental History (KAJAK), Tallinn University.

Proposals can be submitted through the ESEH online submission system by October 31, 2018. 

The conference in Tallinn next year is a great opportunity to make our presence felt and at the same time to present new research. We created a google spreadsheet to help form panels.

The 3rd World Congress of Environmental History
 
The International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations (ICEHO) invites proposals for the 3rd World Congress of Environmental History, to be held in 22-26 July 2019 in Florianópolis, Brasil. Deadline for submissions is: 10 September 2018 All details can be found at the congress website.

Alan Mikhail honored with the Anneliese Maier Research Award 

Alan Mikhail, professor of Ottoman and environmental history, was recently honored with the 2018 Anneliese Maier Research Award given by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Mikhail was one of eight researchers selected from 111 nominees for this award. Read more...
