Florida Job Growth Grant Fund $2 Million Grant Awarded

“The Governor’s announcement today allows us to fund phase II of the sanitary sewer expansion project – an upgrade of our master pump station that will allow anticipated new flows to exit the island for treatment.  The Florida Job Growth Grant Fund is a highly competitive program specifically targeting infrastructure improvements that facilitate economic development and job creation.  Our project was a great fit based on the extent of redevelopment and development activity we are anticipating.” Vince Tenaglia, Assistant City Manager of St. Pete Beach shared after the Press Conference Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.

Construction Zones-

The week of October 17th, 2021, Metro crews will be setting up another phase of our sewer project construction along Gulf Blvd. and 55th Ave.

This should be in place for approximately two weeks. Immediately following this work, PSTA’s contractor will begin working on installing their bus stop south of 55th Avenue on the west side of the road. They will implement daily lane closure of the outside lane. The PSTA element is projected to be completed by Thanksgiving Day.

See full details here.

Gulf Blvd. and 55th Ave.

The bike lane located at approximately 55th Avenue and Gulf Blvd. is temporarily closed due to a the heavy rains causing a flood in the existing excavation pit from the Frontier fiber optic installation project.
