Funding Opportunities

Maryland Tech Council is launching their internship platform, where companies have an opportunity to get reimbursed for 50% of the cost of their intern. LINK - MD only

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) anticipates awarding up to $2.4 million to fund projects through their Pioneering Ideas Brief Proposals program on the topic of technology, infrastructure and health.They are looking to support projects that explore the relationship between technology, infrastructure, and health and examine how technology’s impact on infrastructure in the near future (5-10 years) could influence our efforts to improve health equity in the United States.  LINK

Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality Technologies for Aircraft Maintenance.  For an enterprise wide implementation of VAM technologies to aircraft maintenance four areas of specific interest areas are:
(1)  Content Development. 
(2)  Content Approval and Management.
(3) Open Modular Enterprise Solutions. 
(4) VAM Business Case. LINK

Military Operational Medicine Research Program--Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Research Program--Resilience and Readiness Optimization/Enhancement Translational Research Award -  provide support for research of exceptional scientific merit in response to the devastating impact of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health (PH) issues to our deployed Service members (SMs) in Iraq and Afghanistan. NIH - Develop the next generation of brain stimulation devices for treating mental health disorders. Applications are sought that will either 1) develop novel brain stimulation devices or 2) significantly enhance, by means of hardware/software improvements, the effectiveness of brain stimulation devices that are currently U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved or cleared. Applications seeking to develop new capabilities should focus on significant enhancement of the spatial resolution, depth of delivery, and/or precision of the device. Incremental changes to existing devices (e.g., software updates) are not within the scope of this announcement. The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) invites proposals to conduct investigations on issues relevant to nursing simulation. The INACSL “Debra Spunt” Research Grants are designed to fund research that advances the science of simulation in healthcare and is related to at least one of the the INACSL research priorities. Rigorously designed research proposals, both qualitative and quantitative are welcome. LINK

The Arizona Game and Fish Department welcomes non-profit organizations to apply for a Heritage Grant. Heritage funding goes toward conservation efforts such as protecting endangered species, educating students and the general public about wildlife and the outdoors, and creating new opportunities for outdoor recreation. Innovation Growth Lab (IGL) Grants - The goals of this effort include growing a network of researchers and organisations undertaking randomised trials on innovation and high-growth entrepreneurship and adding to a repository of experimental findings with the aim of sharing the lessons across programmes and countries. LINK

UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme. UK organisations can apply for a share of up to £8 million to carry out collaborative R&D, collaborative fast-track and feasibility projects that enhance the UK’s position in civil aerospace. LINK - UK ONLY
