Flyover Zone is excited to announce the launch of the Baalbek Reborn: Temples virtual tour. This extraordinary app is the result of a collaboration between the Lebanese General Department of Antiquities (DGA), the German Archaeological Institute (DAI). Experts from the DAI who have been working on the site since 1998 provided the scientific basis for the 3D reconstructions. By using the latest technology, Flyover Zone succeeded in creating an impressive experience taking users on a journey into the past.

Explore 35 stops along a tour of Baalbek and its temples

On the virtual tour, you can choose to follow a guided tour of Baalbek or follow your curiosity and explore the site map on a virtual tablet.

Travel in time to 215 AD and see Baalbek restored

On your tour, you can use the Time Warp feature to see the site as it looks today and also see the ruins as they appeared in 215 AD.

Listen to expert commentary on each stop

The commentary was prepared by the experts of the German Archaeological Institute, which has sponsored research in Baalbek since 1997.
