Innovative financing in education and development: NORRAG publishes working papers, animation videos and case studies

NORRAG has just released brand new publications on the topic of Innovative Finance for Education (IFE). The publications are a result of the “Innovative Financing in Education and Development: Case Studies and Multi-Media Material for E-Learning” project. The publications now available include working papers, animation videos and case studies, which present the results of research about diverse IFE experiences in the Global South. They are part of NORRAG’s efforts to build empirical evidence on the use of innovative financing in improving provision, quality and equity in education. Read more...

30 September 2020: KIX EAP Webinar "Designing with People for People in Education"

The third Knowledge Innovation Exchange (KIX) Europe | Asia | Pacific (EAP) Webinar will be organised by NORRAG on 30 September 2020. The webinar will feature as guest speaker Sina Mossayeb, Chief Creative Officer of Aero, and will provide participants with an interactive outlook of the impact of methodologies of design thinking and how it can bring a fresh lens to classrooms, school organizations, and even larger state and nationwide programmes.

Catch up on the first two KIX EAP Webinars

The first two KIX EAP webinars took place on 22 July and 27 August and were attended by some 200 participants from the KIX EAP region and beyond. The first webinar was organised in cooperation with the strategic partner FHI 360 on "Implementing Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) during COVID-19" and the second was organised by NORRAG on the topic of "Potentials of Innovative Financing Solutions for Inclusive and Quality Education". UNESCO-NORRAG consultation “The Futures of Education in emergencies and protracted crises”

On 17 July, a group of 35 experts from across policy, practice and academia engaged in an online consultation to discuss the Futures of Education in emergencies (EiE) and protracted crises. The consultation was organized by NORRAG and the UNESCO Futures of Education Initiative. The report of the event will be submitted to the International Commission on the Futures of Education for its consideration. Read more....

NORRAG KIX Report: Thematic Priorities in 21 GPE Partner Countries of the Europe | Asia | Pacific Region

A report for the KIX EAP Hub project is now available online. The report presents the findings from an empirical study on thematic priorities, challenges, and innovations in the 21 countries of the EAP region that are partner countries of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The study fulfills a dual purpose: to helps inform the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) about current issues in the region and for the KIX EAP hub itself to design a detailed work plan for the 45-month project.  Read more...

IHEID signs a Pledge to Make Geneva a Global Hub for Education in Emergencies

IDRC-GPE: Four Regional KIX Calls for Expression of Interest Released

The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange, a partnership between IDRC and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), launched the first of four regional competitive calls to generate and mobilize innovative knowledge for education challenges shared across GPE member countries. NORRAG, as Regional Learning Partner (RLP) since April 2020, is managing the KIX Europe | Asia | Pacific hub.  Read more...
