NORRAG Launches Special Issue 05 "Domestic Financing: Tax and Education"
The fifth edition of NORRAG Special Issue, titled "Domestic Financing: Tax and Education" was released on 23 November 2020. Its online launch event webinar included over 130 academics, professionals, and activists from around the world. NSI 05, guest-edited by David Archer from ActionAid, consists of 25 articles which focus on education's main source of funding: taxes. With a special emphasis on examples from the global South, NSI 05 analyzes the importance of tax justice and domestic resource mobilization in reaching education development goals. Read more...

NORRAG Special Issue 06: States of Emergency: Education in the time of Covid-19
Over the past year, Covid-19 has exacerbated existing inequalities in society, leaving the future of education and those who work in and with the sector in states of emergency. How did we get here and what might the future bring? NORRAG Special Issue 06 seeks to answer these questions through six key themes: Nature, States, Progress, Affect, Technology, and Inequalities. KIX EAP Completes Webinar Series for 2020
The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) Europe|Asia|Pacific (EAP) webinar series was designed to enhance the utilisation of global public goods for policy and planning at the national level. The KIX EAP hub has successfully hosted five webinars, each bringing together hundreds of national experts, academics, and professionals. The series ran from July to November 2020 and included interpretations in English, Russian, and Arabic. A new series of webinars will start in 2021. Watch the replays below:

Look forward to KIX Learning Cycle 2 in 2021!
KIX Learning Cycles are professional development opportunities offered to national education experts from 21 GPE partner countries in the Europe | Asia | Pacific (EAP) region. Learning Cycle 1 "Feasibility Study on Scaling Innovation" started in September with a total of 51 participants. The course, led by Julia Levin, Lecturer at the University of Hamburg, was offered in Russian. Learning Cycle 2 on Scaling Innovations begins in February 2021. It will be offered in English to national experts from all 21 KIX EAP countries, with a particular focus to countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Read more...

Call for Chapters! Edited Volume: "Systems Approaches in Education"
This edited volume proposes to examine the diversity of systems approaches currently being theorized and applied to education in middle and low income countries. 19 November 2020: Young Activist Coached by NORRAG's Executive Director
NORRAG's Executive Director, Dr. Moira Faul, coached a young activist as a side activity of the Young Activists Summit. The activist, Mohammad, is a 19-year-old from Syria who founded a school in his refugee camp in Lebanon. Although Mohamad is heavily involved in his work, he is encountering new challenges in providing education, and he sought guidance from NORRAG. Read more...
