Campus News
Western Washington University’s College of Fine and Performing Arts invites audience members to come and forget all their troubles with a night full of famous musical stylings from Cabaret. The musical will be performed on the Mainstage at Western’s Performing Arts Center from Dec. 2-5.

Lights, camera, 'Cabaret!'

Western Washington University’s College of Fine and Performing Arts is putting together the famous musical stylings of “Cabaret,” a musical that takes place in the 1930s in a Berlin nightclub. Musical numbers include "Willkommen," "Cabaret," "Don't Tell Mama" and "Two Ladies."

This is the first musical production the theater department is putting on since the COVID-19 pandemic. The show will run from Dec. 2 to 5...

Off Campus 
Vendors line Commercial Street Plaza for the Rebel Artists of Whatcom Market in Bellingham, Wash. on Oct. 30, 2021. The market will only be held twice more before shutting down until spring 2022, holding a Black Friday market on Nov. 29 and a market at the tree lighting on Dec. 4.

Whatcom Rebels push for inclusivity in local art space

The Rebel Artists of Whatcom are a collective of crafters, creators and artists committed to helping each other grow their business and skills. For most of the year the group holds a Saturday market at Commercial Street Plaza in downtown Bellingham where local artists can sell their work.

Sarah Van Houten, the current director of the collective, has been vending at the market since spring, but only fully stepped into the role of director recently...

Weekend Recreation
Western Washington University’s athletic training center is located in the Wade King Recreation Center in Bellingham, Wash. Students can use the free services to help with injury rehabilitation by contacting the Student Health Center for a referral.

Athletic Training offered to WWU students

For Western Washington University students suffering from injuries, the Student Health Center athletic training services are offered through the Wade King Student Recreation Center free of charge.

Located at the REC Center, students who pay the health services fee through the university and are enrolled with at least six credits can get assistance in rehabilitation for all injuries they may have...
