God, inspire in us ways to show your love to one another and to ourselves.

Guide our hearts and our actions to greater care, kindness and generosity in the midst of these fears and uncertainties.
A note from our Executive Director:
Friends of Crooked Creek Christian Camp,

I hope this note finds you all doing well as we navigate this unknown time together. What a strange time we are in right now as the news of the COVID-19 is changing nearly as rapidly as it becomes available. Here at Crooked Creek, we are taking it day by day and adjusting to the changes as they come, as best we can.

At this time, we have cancelled all of our guest groups scheduled in March and are continuing to monitor the situation and will be contacting our April guest groups in the event that we need to cancel. We are working with groups to reschedule their retreats. The financial impact of these cancellations comes out to a loss of over $11,000.

We have made the tough decision to postpone Crooked Creek Wild scheduled for May 2nd. We will update our website and Facebook page once a new date has been solidified. Crooked Creek Wild is our annual fundraiser for our summer camp fund, which goes toward summer camp scholarships, summer staff stipends, and summer camp activities. If you would like to donate to this fund in preparation for this summer, you can donate online at http://www.crookedcreekcamp.org/make-a-donation.html or mail a check to us.

At this time summer camp is still on! We will continue to move forward with planning, hiring, and preparing. We are still in need of counselors, lifeguards, housekeepers, and kitchen assistants. We will announce any possible changes as summer approaches.

As we practice social distancing, I encourage you to find time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. While our buildings are currently closed, we do have plenty of trails and wooded space to walk, a prayer labyrinth, and playgrounds to enjoy. Give us a call and come visit!

We have also added activities and cooking demos to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/crooked.c.camp/. Check us out and give us a follow if you aren’t already. We will continue to use our Facebook page as a place for updates, activities, and announcements.

So, what can you do to help?
  • Keep us in your prayers. Pray for Crooked Creek and for our staff as we continue to do our work through these unknown challenges
  • Donate. Now more than ever we would appreciate your donations if you are able.
  • Follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on news, announcements, and what is happening here at camp.
Also, 2020 marks our 40th year of camping ministry! We have exciting plans to celebrate this year, so look for news on upcoming events soon.

There is a lot of uncertainty right now, but we are certain of God's faithfulness. We rejoice in the warmer days, the daffodils starting to peek through the ground, and the chance to be grounded in God's creation.

I look forward to when we can open our doors to you all again and host you here at Crooked Creek!

Blessings,
Heather Bender
Executive Director
