...COME ON IRELAND!...

We are high on Ireland after Paddy's, the Six Nats, Cheltenham and Irish in the Rhone Valley!

The Wild Geese refers to Irish who fled after the Battle of the Boyne and were instrumental in the founding and development of Bordeaux. Irishman Simon Tyrell, now several vintages deep in the Rhone may prove to be just as consequential, a golden goose.

We managed to catch up with Simon to taste through the range. The wines look better than ever, and Simon was as approachable, thoughtful and interesting as always. We talked varieties in the Rhone, the impact of climate change and his own life circumstances, not to mention the challenges 2020 threw up. Comprehensive notes with a 6-Pack of one of each of the new wines is
€135 with limited availability.

Atelier des Sources 'Les Traversee' Cotes du Rhone Villages will be familiar after an incredibly popular pre-release last year.

Atelier des Sources 'La Retour' is 100% Cinsault, extraordinarily rare on it's own, the wine may prove to be a ground zero for the variety.

Atelier des Sources 'La Lumiere' is a textural Marsanne/Rousanne white blend.

Les Deux Cols 'Les Trois Terroirs' is a new cuvee to utilise some of their best sites.

Les Deux Cols 'Chemins des Fonts' is the top wine and it has never looked better.

From his Spanish project looks fab now with a couple years of ageing, ultimate BBQ wine;  Oludeo La Sonadora 2016.
