SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP
I'm looking at running a holiday workshop the first week of the school holidays. Classes in Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Technique, Acting and Screen Acting as well as some fun craft. A great opportunity for current students to try a new class and for children not enrolled at The Tap Scene to come along and join in the fun! Please email me with expressions of interest.

THE TAP TOUR IS COMING TO THE TAP SCENE!
On Sunday, August 5th, The Tap Scene is hosting The Tap Tour! An exciting opportunity to be taught by 3 current Tap Dogs before they set off on their world tour. The workshop caters for all levels and ages, this is a community event with limited spots, so book today to avoid disappointment. It's going to be awesome!
Book your tickets at https://the-tap-tour-2018.eventbrite.com.au

CRAZY SOCK WEEK
It's become a tradition that the last week of Term 2 is Crazy Sock Week at The Tap Scene. So students rummage through your sock drawer, find your craziest socks and wear them to class.

HOUSE KEEPING
Studio Floors- I would like to encourage all dancers to put their Tap or Jazz shoes on once they are in the waiting room, instead of wearing them to The Tap Scene. This will eliminate some of the dirt that is being walked into the dance studios, it will also prolong the life of your dance shoes.
No Dogs- Could I please ask dog owners not to bring their dogs into the waiting room.
Lost Property- Please check the lost property tub, any unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of the term.

A REMINDER OF OUR PARKING POLICY
It's important everyone does the right thing when dropping their child at the studio. I've noticed some people are still parking and pulling up in our neighbour's carpark during their trading hours and also dropping off children in our driveway and then reversing out onto the busy road. Please do not reverse out of the driveway. Please go up the ramp and turn around. It's only a matter of time before there is an accident. The last thing I want is the council on my back about this. Please read our parking policy below.

PARKING POLICY
Thanks for respecting the rules and doing the right thing.
In the interest of student safety, nearby pedestrians, other businesses and drivers, it’s essential that parents respect the school’s parking and drop off policy.
Rule 1 – Don’t reverse out of our driveway
As tempting as it is, reversing out of our driveway is not advised and is dangerous. Some parents have already reported near misses.
You’re welcome to drop off near the front door, however you will then need to continue up the ramp to turn around come back down. Doing this only takes a few extra minutes.
To unlock the gate, enter code ‘2626’. Press the green button to exit.
Rule 2 – never park in the neighbouring businesses car park
Please, never park in our neighbour’s car park, we don’t want to upset them! Approval of our DA was on the provision that our customers did not use the neighbouring business’ carpark. Should the business report and/or complain that The Tap Scene families are parking on their property, we will be penalised and may be asked to close down.
Rule 3 – Park only on the street or upstairs in our allocated parking
There’s plenty of parking for everyone but please do not park across driveways or or nearby private property.
