Concert Day- Wednesday, December 5th at the Glen st Theatre.
The onstage rehearsal is compulsory for all students, it's extremely important for the concert to run smoothly. Please read the following information carefully.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a dress rehearsal, students to wear The Tap Scene uniform. Please enter via the side entrance not the main entrance to the Glen St. Please be on time. Parents and Guardians are responsible for their children during the rehearsal, teachers will be down in the theatre running the rehearsal. If you can’t be at this rehearsal due to other commitments, please speak to another parent to organise supervision for your child. Perhaps you could work it in shifts. 6 pm Arrival for ALL students-
All Tap, Jazz and Musical Theatre students must be back at the theatre in the dressing rooms ready to go on stage with hair, makeup and costume on by 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm show.
- Please ensure you label all your child’s belongings including all shoes, this will assist our dressing room helpers and avoid any lost property.
- Please pack a quiet activity for your child, please avoid texters, these might spoil costumes.
- Please avoid packing food and snacks that will make a mess. Pack water bottles. It is also a good idea to have a lightweight dressing gown that your child can wear in the dressing room to keep their costume clean.
- Please bring your costumes on a hanger in a costume bag, so you don’t lose any items. Label everything. Clothes racks will be supplied. Costumes are not being collected on the night of the concert, costume return day is on Saturday, December 8th at the studio. ( Times will be advised soon ) When you collect your child from the dressing room, please check that they have all their costumes.
- No students are allowed in the audience during the concert, they are to stay in the dressing room they have been allocated.
- Please have a conversation with your child regarding their behaviour in the dressing room. There is to be no running around and they are to use inside voices. The dressing room is not a playground. While it's an exciting day, it's a long day and they must conserve their energy.
