The Health Promotion Team at Central Bayside Community Health Services (CBCHS) are here to support early childhood services in Kingston to plan and implement health & wellbeing initiatives to help create a healthier environment for your learning community.

Each month, we aim to share valuable information like resources, events, professional learning opportunities, and grants to help support wellbeing in your service.

Cook's Network: Calling all long day care chefs and cooks!

Are you be interested in a network to support your practice and share your ideas, challenges and advice with other local cooks/chefs? CBCHS are keen to support chefs & cooks in this space!

For a sneak peak of what this could look like, join in for a virtual Cook's Network session, hosted by Monash Health, for a session to learn how to plan a healthy menu in line with the Victorian Menu Planning Guidelines for Long Day Care.

The One Box: Fresh Fruit for Children

The One Box, an Australian charity, is offering childcare centres access to their affordable, high-quality fresh and nutritious fruit at approximately 50% off its recommended retail value.

Bowling with Babies!

Mums and dads with bubs, join in for a roll at Clayton Bowls Club!
Bowling with Babies is a fun way to help local mums connect and get active with their bubs.

Manhood, Dads and Me: Free Webinar

Join this workshop for parents to explore the concept of men and boys and how they can break free from stereotypes. Hear from Paul Zappa (Jesuit Social Services) to learn practical tips to support children to enjoy healthy, respectful relationships.

National Families Week:
15 - 21 May 
National Reconciliation Week: 27 May - 3 June

National Families Week (NFW) is a time to celebrate family and community, and the role families play by working together to support each other and provide care for those in the broader community. The theme 'Stronger Families, Stronger Communities' continues into 2021.

The NFW website contains a whole range of resources that you can use to celebrate:

> Educational resources for the classroom and home
> Activities and colouring in sheets 

Reconciliation Australia's theme for 2021, More than a word. Reconciliation takes action, urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.

Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians -National Reconciliation Week (NRW) gives us the opportunity to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and explore how we can all contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
