Welcome to your monthly health & wellbeing update!

Each month, we aim to share resources, programs, grants, professional learning opportunities and events to help maximise wellbeing in your service.

The Health Promotion Team at Central Bayside Community Health Services (CBCHS) are here to help early childhood services to create healthy environments for children, staff and families.
We provide tailored support to help services create a whole of service approach to health and wellbeing, using initiatives like the Achievement Program and more!

FOR THE WHOLE SERVICE COMMUNITY
TED Talk: A game of Peek-A-Boo could change the world!
Seven year old, Molly Wright (one of the youngest TED presenters ever!) shares with us how parents and caregivers can give children their best chance in life simply through play.
Molly highlights the benefits of play on lifelong learning, behaviour and wellbeing and shares the simple strategies that families can use to help all kids thrive by five.

Watch above or here - definitely worth sharing with your parents and families!

Early Childhood Educators Day | 1 September

We cannot thank every one of our early childhood educators and staff enough for all the work that you do for our little learners and their families. We hope that you take the time today (and everyday) to celebrate you, your colleagues and all the amazing things that you do!

R U OK? Day | 9 September

We have all gone through many ups and downs lately so it's incredibly important that we connect with one another to ask R U OK?

This year's focus is Are they really OK? Ask them today. Don't wait until someone is visibly distressed - take a moment and ask them how they're really going.

To get involved, visit the R U OK? Day website for resources* to teach your children and staff how to start a conversation.

You can also tune in to R U OK? Day's free webinar on Thursday 9th September at 12:30pm to learn when and how to ask R U OK? so you can have a conversation that could change a life.
