Welcome to the August health & wellbeing update for 2022!

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet at Central Bayside, the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people past, present and emerging, especially acknowledging the wisdom of Elders.

Each month, we aim to share resources, programs, grants, professional learning opportunities and events to help maximise wellbeing in your service.

The Health Promotion Team at Central Bayside Community Health Services (CBCHS) are always available to provide tailored support to help your services build a whole of service approach to health and wellbeing for children, staff and families, using initiatives like the Achievement Program and more! If you would like free support to build a positive and healthy environment within your service, please get in touch with our team to get started!

Take care,
Kayla - Health Promotion Team at CBCHS

R U OK Day? | 8 September
We have all gone through many ups and downs lately so it's incredibly important that we connect with one another to ask R U OK?

The message for this year is Ask R U OK? No qualifications needed. Because a
conversation could change a life. Listening and giving someone your time might be just what they need to help them through.

To get involved, visit the R U OK? Day website for resources* to teach your children and staff how to start a conversation.

*Resources are targeted at primary school children but can be adapted to suit early childhood
The Health Promotion Team at CBCHS is funded by the Department of Health, allowing us to offer free, tailored health and wellbeing support to your early childhood service.

If you'd like to find out more about how we can support your service,
get in touch with Kayla on kdimaio@cbchs.org.au or 8587 0205.
