Nous Souhaitons Vous Remercier

It is hard to believe that this time last week we should have been kicking up our heels and bringing the joie de vivre to Melbourne.

While we were able to adjust and adapt and bring a petite mais magnifique (small but magnificent) online version of the Festival to you and stay connected while staying at home, we dearly missed catching up with everyone in person - and of course we missed exploring the French Winter Market while being entertained by our many performers.

We have been overwhelmed by the support from all of you, the francophone and francophile community.

Thank you to everyone who tuned into our online Les Lumières, attended our virtual Masterclasses, accessed our free online program, liked our social media posts, told their friends and family about us, sent their best wishes or supported our stall holders with takeaway orders.

Finally, thank you to all the volunteers who had enrolled to be part of what was going to be a fabulous Festival!

This has been a challenging time for all those involved in the Festival but we have been so heartened to see everyone rally together and support each other.

Thank you to all of our sponsors

Thank you to all the sponsors who helped us bring the Festival to life. Your support meant we were able to put on a fabulous online Festival to Melbourne and apporter un peu de joie de vivre to Melbourne during a cold winter.

An extra special thank you to our naming sponsor Peugeot.

Merci to our Bleu sponsors:
The Victorians State Government, the City of Melbourne, the Ministre de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères, Barambah Organics, Bouygues Construction Australia, JCDecaux and Philippe Fourrier Champagne.

Merci to our Blanc sponsors:
ANL, Michelin, The University of Melbourne, The Honorary Consulate of France and Bioderma

And Merci to our Rouge sponsors:
French Beauty Co, Explore France, Omexom and Vinci Energies, M Chapoutier Australia and Dominique Portet.

We are grateful to have received so much support from both the French and Australian business community.

Support our stall holders

While we couldn't hold the French Winter Market, you can still sample the magnifique produce by supporting our stall holders.

To our performers, merci beaucoup!

We wish to acknowledge that the Festival is nothing without music, performance, the digital media and film that we managed to collate this year. So we must give a huge merci beaucoup to our amazing performers. We had a program full of joie de vivre planned at Fed Square, managed to show some of it online but we're sorry we couldn't bring it to life in person this year. Additionally thank you to the City of Melbourne for helping us engage with a number of buskers and roving performers who would have kept the whole site at Federation Square alive and amusing.

Special thanks to the French Navy Band, The Huxleys, DJ Tanzer, Edith Vignal,
DJ Emannuel, Belle Musette, Lorena Stipani and David MicNichol and the additional roaming acts we had programmed.

We sincerely hope to bring them back in 2022.

Our free online program is still available

We're keeping our online program available, to keep you entertained.

Sit back, relax and enjoy some virtual joie de vivre with online treats including the documentary Home Shift Home, performances by soprano Lorena Stipani and pianist David McNicol, cooking by Gabriel Gâté, Jump by the Huxleys and more!
