We hope you all had a wonderful break and start by wishing you all a very happy New Year! 

Recent highlights to share since our last Newsletter: 

Norfolk Screen has become supporter of the
Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) - the UK's leading membership organisation for those working in screen production. Being part of the PGGB family which helps bring Film and TV drama professionals together, is a great honour and endorsement of our service. 

We welcomed Screenskills recent nod to Norfolk Screen in its recent Spotlight on the East of England newsletter which you can read here

Norfolk Screen has now welcomed over 100 Locations to our
Directory and this continues to be growing each week. We are keen to continue building this location directory and for those who would like to list their property you can do this here


NORFOLK SCREEN TALKS



Building on the success of our Norfolk Screen Talks series last year, we are excited to be kicking off 2022 with another FREE online webinar event: Getting Your Film Noticed by Development Executives. We will be joined by Development Executive, Dionne Farrell (BBC Films) and Development and Production Executive, Max Park (Film4) who will, share their respective insight as to what constitutes as a stand out idea, what they are looking for, how the development process works along with practical advice when pitching your film.

We are also grateful to Dr Peter Bloore, Associate Professor of Creativity at the University of East Anglia who will Chair this event.

Productions use our website // database to identify local talent, facilities and services, so please help us to keep it updated. Log into your account here. 

Also please do share the Directories with any colleagues // services who you think should join! We believe the more we demonstrate what the region  can offer to a service a production, the more work and hire opportunities we can generate in the county. Those who would like to join can do so here

INDUSTRY NEWS


Congratulations to the Production Guild of Great Britain who begins the year with some fantastic news - the British Film Commission (BFC) is extending its partnership with The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) by investing a further £100k in a raft of targeted training courses, designed to increase access to experienced and diverse crew as new stage space continues to expand in the UK. Facilities by ADF trade as a public listed company 

Congratulations to Norfolk Screen sponsor Facilities by ADF who recently floated on the junior AIM market. The company provides production sites with accommodation, make up rooms and toilets in trailers. Clients include Netflix, Disney and the BBC. It supplied every series of Peaky Blinders - including actors' living quarters and make-up trucks.

The UK has the largest concentration of VFX and Post talent and capacity in the world. Our award-winning facilities provide cutting-edge VFX, pre-production, virtual production and more. UK Studios Online Directory launched by The Knowledge

The Knowledge's 2022 inaugural UK Studios online Directory is out now - with more than 14,000 listings of production services, suppliers, crew and studios. Featured in this directory is Raynham Hangar Studios based in West Raynham, Norfolk. You can see the list of studio space here

BFI Short Film Funding opens in March 2022

Short Film funding programme supports projects with directors based in England and is run in partnership with the BFI NETWORK Talent Executives who work with filmmakers on the delivery of funded projects. The fund reopens in March 2022.  More information can be found

Norwich Film Festival Short Films Submissions 2022

The BAFTA & BIFA Qualifying Short Film Festival will be opening up its submissions in late January 2022. Be sure to submit your short film to one of the UK's best Short Film Festival's. More information can be found
