Monterey County Shelter In Place Order

This afternoon, the Monterey County Health Department announced the first two cases of coronavirus in the County and issued a shelter-in-place order.

Details regarding the shelter-in-place order and frequently asked questions (FAQs) are linked below.

City Facilities Closing To The Public

Following the Monterey County Public Health Officer’s order to shelter-in-place, City facilities will close to the public starting tomorrow 3/18, including City Hall and the Library. City staff will continue to work to ensure City business is still being conducted. If you need to complete a City transaction, you may do so online, through e-mail or via phone call.

This additional temporary change in City business protocol will assist with further limiting the advancement of the COVID-19 virus and compliance with the order to shelter-in-place.

Thank you for your understanding.
