All Saints Episcopal Church Bayside

The Ramsay Report

Monday, September 20, 2021

For the first time in a long time, it feels like our parish is coming to life again, safely and happily.

On Saturday night, Major Tom's Coffee House returned with its 38th installment -- a great in person gathering with new performers (though coffee still has not returned, but soon perhaps).  If you missed it, never fear, it was live-streamed too.  Catch the replay here.

On Sunday, we celebrated the 17th Sunday After Pentecost with a 10 a.m. service, both in-person and online.

If you missed yesterday's service, you can just click here.  You can also view/download the bulletin here.

During coffee hour, our church school students and other parishioners continued working on the special Lord's Prayer posters that were started at the Welcome Back picnic.

If your circumstances permit, please continue to keep your pledges up to date. You may do so by mail or online using Tithely. Simply click the donate button on the website or click here.

Liturgical Gifts
The Altar Flowers are given by Susan and Paul Parfrey to the glory of God and in loving memory of Charlotte Smith, and to the glory of God and in loving memory of Jacqueline Shannon by her family.

The Sanctuary Lamp is given by Pat Walton to the glory of God and in loving memory of her sister, Shirley Lalley.

The bread and wine of the Eucharist are given by Pat Walton to the glory of God and in celebration of the birthday of her daughter-in-law, Cathy Walton.

There is availability for liturgical gifts throughout the year. To offer a thank-offering or memorial, please call the parish office or sign-up in the book in the Narthex.

Saturday, December 4
The Holly Bazaar Live (hopefully!) and Online
Bayside's Favorite Christmas Fair, The Holly Bazaar is held every year on the first Saturday in December. The event features all sorts of vendors, food items, and kids activities. Held on the first weekend of December, the Holly Bazaar is All Saints’ signature annual fund (and fun) raiser. In addition to hosting vendors of new and attractive items ranging from handcrafted jewelry to stained glass to festive socks, the Bazaar is a showcase for the talents of several groups in the parish. Last year we launched our online version of the Holly Bazaar, while we hope to return to a more normal in-person event for 2021, the online event will also be taking place!

The Bottom of the Barrel
...is not something we want to see. As your circumstances permit, please continue to bring food for the food pantry. Food insecurity is a growing concern for many people right now.

Mother Karen shared with the Deanery clergy that demand at the food pantry is way up. All Saints has been a generous supplier, and hope we can continue to be.

Show your parish pride with “Church Merch,” “Sacred Swag” or whatever you call a great collection of custom T-shirts, drink-ware, and more available at the All Saints Shop! Visit via our website. Each item you buy helps to fund our mission and ministry.

The Ramsay Report is also looking for breaking news!  Have updates or information to share with the congregation, please email it to Stephanie.tonnesen@gmail.com.  Please put Ramsay Report News in the subject line.  Thanks!

Have a wonderful week!
