To all our parishioners, families and friends, thank you all so much!
Last night's town hall on gun violence prevention was a great success.
Thank you to all who worked behind the scenes to pull the event together.
Thank you to all who helped spread the word throughout our congregation, Bayside, Northeast Queens and the Diocese of Long Island.
Thank you to Father Byrne for being an excellent host and moderator. And a huge thank you to our wonderful speakers -- U.S. Senator Chris Coons, Bishop William Franklin, Deacon Marjorie Boyden-Edmonds, The Toy Guy Christopher Byrne, Moms Demand Action volunteer Michelle Guglielmelli, and Captain John Portalating and Community Affairs Officer Luigi Galano from the 111th Precinct.
Thank you to Northwell Health and Sandy Hook Promise for sharing videos and resources for us to share.
Thank you to the more than 50 individuals who attended the town hall in-person and online, asked wonderful, insightful questions and shared their own personal experiences with gun violence.
Thank you to our local news media who attended and covered the event. Here are links to their stories:
WNBC-TV (NBC, Channel 4)
Telemundo (Channel 47)
