All Saints Episcopal Church Bayside

The Ramsay Report

Week of April 11, 2022

All Saints ushered in Holy Week yesterday with traditional Palm Sunday services at 10 a.m., both in-person and online.

The services started with the Blessing of the Palms in the Common Room and a parade of roughly 35 parishioners of all ages walking and singing "All Glory, Laud and Honor" on the streets of Bayside around to the main church doors.

Many thanks to all who participated in the reading of the Passion, including Gary Bjornson, Megan Monfiston, Brianne Leslie-Dougherty, Andy Hornback, Susan Byrne, Stella Elder, Karrie Sheridan and Judy Batashoff.

Special shout out to our AV/Tech team's newest member Kristen Belle Tonnesen who operated the "live remote camera" during the procession for our online participants.  Also special shout out to Bridget Cossman for making her debut as an acolyte.

Finally, THANK YOU to the creative, talented, and faithful members of the Altar Guild who spent several hours yesterday making the church ready for Palm Sunday!

If you missed the service, you can watch by clicking here.  You can also view/download the bulletin here.

Finally, if your circumstances permit, please continue to keep your pledges up to date. You may do so by mail or online using Tithely. Simply click the donate button on the website or click here.

COFFEE HOUR IS BACK AND HOSTS ARE NEEDED

Consider signing up to host a coffee hour... the sign up sheet is posted on the board.  The main requirement is that portions be individually wrapped so that the food stays pristine.

The next edition of Major Tom's Coffee House at All Saint's Church in Bayside will be on Saturday April 23rd beginning at 7:00 p.m. LIVE only in the Common Room.  We hope to see many of you and your friends!

THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL...
...is not something we want to see. As your circumstances permit, please continue to bring food for the food pantry. Food insecurity continues to be a growing concern for many people right now.

Mother Karen shared with the Deanery clergy that demand at the food pantry is way up. All Saints has been a generous supplier, and hope we can continue to be.

Show your parish pride with “Church Merch,” “Sacred Swag” or whatever you call a great collection of custom T-shirts, drink-ware, and more available at the All Saints Shop! Visit via our website. Each item you buy helps to fund our mission and ministry.

The Ramsay Report is also looking for breaking news!  Have updates or information to share with the congregation, please email it to Stephanie.tonnesen@gmail.com.  Please put Ramsay Report News in the subject line.  Thanks!

Have a wonderful week!
