Revive DTS Students Graduated Today!!!

After 6 months of lectures, evangelism, encountering God, outreach, discipleship, preaching, and seeing God move, Revive DTS comes to an end! It is such a time of mixed emotions: I'm so proud of each of the students and how they have grown, so sad to see them go, and so excited for what is ahead!

In this email update, I will include:
- brief update of our time in Papua, Indonesia
- what's next for the students
- what's next for me

PAPUA...
In Papua, we had a limited amount of ministry because currently the island is in a state of unrest. The Papuans want independence from Indonesia and so there are protests and violence around the island. But, while this seemed to limit some of our ministry, it also provided us with a great opportunity to invite God into the situation and to bring hope and peace to the Christians there even in the midst of trial.

The different ministry opportunities that we had:
- sharing and praying for prisoners inside a large prison
- many church services, encouraging the believers there to carry on and live in the peace that the Lord brings
- many youth services, pointing young people towards Jesus even in the midst of uncertainty
- kids programs dramas and lessons about the Lord!
- teaching dramas to the DTS that is running in Papua
and more!

One amazing testimony was during our time ministering at the hospital in town. There was a family of 5 who were relaxing in an outdoor waiting area. An older woman named Sophie shared that they are from the highlands (an area relatively unreached with the gospel) and were in the hospital because she had been very sick, bedridden for a month, then had a miscarriage and lost her twin babies, and all of this happened after her husband left her for another woman. There was great pain, anger, and loss.

We had conversation for a while, which had to be double translated because she only spoke her tribal language, and then offered to pray for the pain that caused her to be unable to walk or move her back. We prayed multiple times and then told her to stand up and walk.... AND SHE DID! Her family members were completely shocked as she began to walk around on her own! Then we were able to share about how Jesus is the one that healed her physical body, but He can heal hearts as well. After we finished sharing stories and truths about God, all 5 of them accepted Jesus into their lives! So excited for them to go back to the highlands and be walking testimonies of what God has done!

One funny story from our time there is when our translator offered to give us dog meat to try, and then the next day we learned that we had eaten our hosts dog! Our translator killed, cooked, and let us eat, our hosts dog against our host's will!!!
What is next:

What's next for me

Next year there will be some big changes for me: God has spoken for me to join a group of amazing people to start a new YWAM base in the Kimberley. The focus of this training base is to reach the Aboriginal people in the area but also to train them to GO to other tribal nations and proclaim Jesus!! The main nations that we will be focusing on are: Indigenous Australia, Africa, South America, Islands (Fiji, Papua, Solomon Islands, etc).

Its so so exciting what God is doing in and through tribal nations! More information to come in the next email update.

We plan on moving to the Kimberley region of Australia next year, so in the meantime, I will be here in Perth, reaching out locally in the city, and also working a lot to prep for our move up north.

What's next for the students

Last year, when I staffed Revive DTS, 4 out of 6 students came back into full time missions (and one is going with me to start a new YWAM base), and its so so cool to see God speaking for the students this year to return to missions as well!!!

Beth will be coming back to YWAM Perth to do a second level training course called the Transformation School

Cheamay will be returning to YWAM Perth to do a 9 week administration course before returning to her community in the Kimberley and work in the school there, using her training and love for God to run bible studies for the teachers and see transformation in her people.

Jessie will go home for a period of time to reconnect with her family and heal what has been broken there, and then join YWAM Perth and make God known through art and drama.

Declan is not sure what is next for him yet but He is excited to take His passion for Jesus into whatever God brings Him.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me through prayer and finances. You have made all of this possible!!! God is on the move. More updates to come. How can I be praying for you??? If you want to catch up, Id love to chat on the phone with you and tell more stories!
