Greetings ECA Students and Families!
Please see the important reminders below:
ECA Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and Lunch Orders are due TODAY, Thursday, August 25. Your child can select which meals they would like to order here.
The federal government had been providing all students with free meals, but they have terminated this program. Students who do not qualify for free meals will need to purchase their meals if they wish to eat school meals. If you qualified for free lunches last year and/or you currently receive SNAP benefits, you will most likely qualify for free lunches, and your child can just place their order for the first week.
If you do not receive SNAP benefits or did not qualify for free lunches last year, you will need to pay for lunches for at least the first week. Your student can order their meals for the first week of school, and you can put money into their lunch account by giving a check to Mrs. Dace on the first day of school. You can put any amount of money in the account that you wish, and you can add to the account at any time (by giving a check to Mrs. Dace). The account will decrease as the student gets their meals. You will be able to check the account balance using Meal Magic. More information about Meal Magic will come soon. Checks should be made payable to WISD. You or your child can give the check to Mrs. Dace in King 220-A or Mrs. Jackson in King 221 on the first day of school.
We are working on an online payment system, but right now the only way that we have to accept payment is by check.
The costs of meals are as follows:
Breakfast - $2.00/day; Lunch - $3.50/day.
It is important that everyone fill out the free lunch application even if you are sure that you will not qualify. It will help our school with grants and other benefits. Here is a link to the instructions for filling out the application.
If you have any questions or need any assistance regarding the breakfast and lunch program, please email Mrs. Dace at firstname.lastname@example.org.
