Township of Muskoka Lakes (TML) Council is developing its Strategic Plan that will include a vision, direction, and goals to guide Council's decision-making and staff activities over the next several years. The following communication from TML sets out details of a virtual Town Hall being held tomorrow at 10:00am.

As you may be aware, the Township of Muskoka Lakes is in the process of updating its strategic plan. Following a four-part workshop series with Council this past summer, the Township’s consultant, Strategy Corp are engaging and seeking feedback from the public.

Further to our recent media release Media Release - Township Launches Public Engagement Process to Update its Strategic Plan, one of the ways that the Township is encouraging input is through attendance at a virtual public town hall this Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. Join the Virtual Town Hall on October 17, 2020 using the Online Virtual Meeting Link.

The meeting format will enable engagement of the Muskoka Lakes Community around the world through an interactive presentation designed to draw out all ideas and perspectives.

You can also share your ideas by completing a Survey, prior to October 30, 2020. Visit Engage Muskoka Lakes to learn more and provide feedback.

Friends of Muskoka are a group of dedicated volunteers working to protect and to preserve the natural environment and unique character of Muskoka by promoting responsible use and development of its land and lakes. Friends of Muskoka believe that the environment IS the economy in Muskoka since millions of people come to Muskoka and invest here because of its clean water and natural, treed shorelines. Our lakes, forests and rivers are a resource that can drive Muskoka’s economy for decades to come if we put the environment first. To this end, Friends of Muskoka is trying to stop residential subdivisions on the waterfront in Muskoka and will work to enshrine sustainable development in the Municipal and District Official Plans.
