Communication Works 2019

Every year Charlton Park Academy and CENMAC hold our Communication Works event. This gives our school and our wider community the opportunity to come and see all the latest and some of the well established assistive technologies available on the market.
It's a real hands on event where you are very welcome to bring groups of students and invite your families to come, see and hear about integrating these technologies in Education.
The event is free to drop in or stay all day to take part in workshops and attend seminars. It's always exciting to see what is coming onto the market and we look forward to welcoming many of the staff, students and parents of the schools we work with on the day.

AAC group

An AAC social group in Central London has started for young people and adults who use an Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) Device to communicate.

There will be a series of inspiring social events which will offer AAC users the opportunity to meet, discuss, share ideas and have fun with other AAC and non AAC users. Additionally, there will always be an experienced speech and language therapist as part of the event that will give the attendees the chance to liaise with an SLT and to improve competencies with the device if needed.
