Town Council Hires Ed Cannon as Town Manager

The Fraser Town Board has hired Ed Cannon to be the new Town Manager, concluding an extensive search.

Mr. Cannon was chosen from among 3 finalists and brings with him a wealth of local government and leadership experience. He will replace Wesley LaVanchy, who has served as Interim Town Manager since January 1, 2021

Mr. Cannon comes to Fraser most recently from Wellington, where he was Town Administrator from 2017 through March 2020. While in Wellington, Mr. Cannon managed a period of significant growth, working to bring additional residential, light industrial, and retail development to the town. He also brings experience with affordable housing projects, economic development, and strategic and capital improvement planning.

Mr. Cannon is committed to fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency, and communication and is eager to bring his skills and experience to Fraser.
Mr. Cannon’s first day will be June 14th.
