Last week, ReflectUS participated in the North Texas Giving Day fundraiser campaign. We are truly grateful for our generous donors who supported us with record-breaking giving! Thank you for your support which allows us to continue the great work being done through our ReflectUS Dallas Program. Part of that great work is our Board and Commissions Guide, a collection of available positions, timelines and ways to apply to local boards and commissions in greater Dallas county. For more opportunities to give, please visit our Network for Good profile to contribute. We appreciate the continued support!
In light of the upcoming election and the importance of voting, we want to remind you of another valuable resource on our website to keep at hand. Our Sophia the VoteBot from ReflectUS Coalition Member IGNITE can help answer questions about when to vote, where to vote, and how to vote. Test her out!
Finally, in honor of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, we released a statement last week, reinforcing and acknowledging our responsibility to carry on her legacy in the fight for equal representation in government. We take this moment to reflect on her leadership, which exemplifies the hopes and dreams of all Americans.
Justice Ginsburg is one of the greatest examples of what can be accomplished when women lead. In her life and career, Justice Ginsburg demonstrated how political representation by women is essential to move our country forward. When women lead, we bring critical perspective, experience and insight, lending diversity to ideas and debates. Ultimately, these contributions result in equitable decision-making and public policy outcomes. We will continue the fight to support women as they run for office and step into leadership positions — a fight made possible because of the incredible legacy of women like Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Vote Run Lead believes if you have a passion to serve, you can #RunAsYouAre right now and win. Vote Run Lead has trained thousands of women to run for office, and they've got more than a few success stories—including Representative Lauren Underwood, the youngest black woman ever elected to Congress. See how she, and many others, are increasing female participation in our nation's government. HEAR THEIR STORIES
If you haven't already, subscribe to Vote Run Lead's YouTube page, which is filled with Get Out The Vote how-to videos to help you turn out voters in your community.
