VBS 2020 - Day 1
PARENTS OF CHILDREN UNDER 3: VBS KITS CONTAIN CHOKING HAZARDS. Wednesday's kit has marbles, the other days have various small items.

Let's get this Jesus-Party started!

We're excited to spend this week taking a closer look at what it means to have faith! We hope you will enjoy combining the lesson video, with the craft, snack, and prayer activities, to create about a one hour VBS experience each day.

If you received a supply box, you should find that everything you need is there for you! If you didn't, no worries, most of these activities can be done with supplies from around the house. In fact, inviting a friend to VBS is a simple as forwarding this email!

You'll also find each day's VBS content on our church website. Head over and bookmark the VBS page and you'll be ready to roll! This daily email will also come out at 8AM each day to remind you and provide some extra thoughts and helps for parents.

It's a privilege to be allowed into your home, and to be a part of your family's faith formation! Please contact Pastor Emily with any questions, concerns, or to share a photo or praise.

Are you ready for this? Let's get going!

DAY ONE
ROMANS 1:20
Seeing God in Creation
SAY THIS:
Focus on what you can SEE.
REMEMBER THIS:
"Let us keep looking to Jesus.
He is the one who started this journey of faith.
And He is the one who completes the journey of faith."

HEBREWS 12:2a, NIrV
DO THIS:

 DRIVE TIME

Tell your child to take a look out the window during this ride. Ask them to focus on what God has created and call out things they see. Follow up with this question: What is your favorite thing that God created?

FAITH:
TRUSTING IN WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU CAN SEE
FROM PARENT CUE:
HOW CAN A KID SEE GOD?
By Reggie Joiner

Have you ever considered that you may be the best chance your son or daughter has to see God? I know it’s scary, but it’s true. Think about it. You can’t really see God, can you?

There are no tangible, verifiable images you can hold up and say, “This is God.” It’s too bad social media didn’t exist thousands of years ago. It would have settled a lot of issues for most of the skeptics.

The fact is, in everyone’s story of faith, there are people who show up and become catalysts for their spiritual growth. Chances are you believe what you believe, and you do what you do because someone influenced your faith. In some cases, it was a parent. In others, it was a significant adult who showed up at the right time in your life . . .
