Lessons for August!

This summer, we've learned, played, served, and celebrated together in new ways. Take a moment right now to reflect on just how much you've managed, led, and accomplished with your family since March! It's easy to get lost in tomorrow's challenges, and overlook how much of this season has been time well spent, how hard we've worked and how many successful adjustments we've made along the way.

In light of that, I hope you are taking time -- I hope that all of us are -- to recognize and appreciate every hard-fought "win" we've accomplished along the way. I'd love to hear from you: what's a "win" you experienced with your family this summer? Drop me a line and share! We all need encouragement!

This month, we're slowing things down to give everyone space to prepare for the launch of school. I've loved seeing your kids on Zoom each week and I will miss that. But I'm already looking forward to launching our fall schedule and getting back into a rhythm of interaction with your family.

In order to guide my decision-making about fall activities, I am interested in hearing from you. Please click here TODAY to answer a few questions and/or let me know that you'd like to find a time to chat about it. Feel free to add details or other information, that you think would be helpful to our planning.

I hope you'll continue to take advantage of the Children's Lessons and activities that are going to continue to be available every Sunday!

You can utilize a tablet and ear buds for your kids to get their lesson at the same time, so you can focus on your own worship experience. Since both the Children's Lesson and Live-Streamed worship are available all week, you can really have church at your leisure; one small way we can take some pressure off, as we are ramping up for fall.

If you would prefer to receive a printed copy of the lesson guide in the mail, I'd be glad to send you a printed packet, so that your family has what they need for great faith lessons all month! Let me know now if you'd like this!

The lessons will be posted to the CYF YouTube Channel every week, with a link to the printable guide in the comments. If you've "liked" First Baptist on Facebook, links will post each week to remind you.

Here's a guide to what's coming up!

Your student can still help lead worship! In-person (socially distanced!) at church, or via recording from home, it would make worship special to hear a prayer or song from them. Let me know if you have a student who can help!

During the month of August, your student can still enjoy interaction with myself and other students over scripture and devotions, by subscribing to The Good Life devotional on the YouVersion Bible App!

The Good Life devotional journal is still available here. And here are the videos they will need: Intro videoVideo 2, Video 3.

Has your student already completed their Good Life journal? I'd love to send them something new to try! Just let me know.

I look forward to hearing your summer wins and fall hopes! Don't forget to send your feedback!

May your children discover new joys and renewed excitement for the days ahead! May you feel God strengthening and protecting you as you lead your families.
