Dear <<First Name>>

I hope you will join us for the first in our series of Winter Zoom meetings on Wednesday 23 September 2020 at 8.00pm.

Celia Davis will talk on BEEKEEPER v BEE: how our activities as beekeepers impact on the natural life of the honeybee colony.
This talk looks at the way honey bee colonies live naturally and considers how normal beekeeping practices impact on them. Managing Varroa brings its own problems; nevertheless, beekeepers maintain healthy, productive colonies by applying sensible management strategies, while respecting the bees’ natural behaviour.
Celia Davis has had a lifelong interest in insects, but her life changed completely in 1980, when she became a beekeeper. Since then bees have become a passion.

One of the most popular and highly regarded speakers on bees and beekeeping, Celia holds a degree in Agriculture and was awarded a National Diploma in Beekeeping in 1994. She is the author of the books The Honey Bee inside Out and The Honey Bee Around and About
