Rummage Sale
Did you make a resolution in the new year to get more organized?  To get rid of some stuff?  Then, lucky you! - the Friends of the Library are having a Rummage Sale at the end of the month and they want your stuff!
You can donate during regular library hours Tuesday, January 17 through Wednesday, January 26.  We cannot accept large furniture (no room) and we don’t accept electronics, books, VHS and cassette tapes. Donated clothing should be in new or next-to-new condition. And please don’t give us anything that’s broken or dirty.

The sale will run during library hours Thursday, January 27 through Saturday, January 29, followed by a half-price sale.  Merchandise in this rummage sale is always priced to move, so make sure you come to the library to get some bargains!
We’re also looking for volunteer cashiers for the sale. Please let Melissa know if you’re available: email her at or call the library, 315-331-4370.

A Book of Wayne County Memories

Wayne County will be 200 years old in 2023. Many efforts are underway to make this historical event  memorable for all of our county’s residents. One of these efforts is to compile a book of non-fiction  memoirs, photographs, poems, essays, artwork, biographical pieces, and news articles which will be  brought together in a book that displays our values, accomplishments, and the overall atmosphere of  the place we call home.

Submissions are being gathered for consideration. Pieces being considered must relate directly to  Wayne County.
At this time no submissions have been made for Newark/Arcadia. Without the memories from individuals from your town we will not have a full picture of Wayne County and the  Newark-Arcadia voice will not be recorded.

Please click here to read more & view submission guidelines

* Please note that the submission deadline has been extended beyond January 1st*
