WY-FI Newsletter: May 2020
Welcome to the May edition of the WY-FI newsletter. In this edition we combine some COVID-19 updates with news from around the WY-FI project.

And we open with the latest COVID-19 statement from our funder, the National Lottery Community Fund.
Diversity, equity and inclusion in a global pandemic (17th April 2020)
"We are committed to equity and want to ensure we keep this at the forefront of our minds as we make difficult decisions about how best to target resources.
"We want to ensure that our Covid-19 response funding is accessible to people from all communities, and those who work, in particular, to support groups who experience disproportionate challenge and difficulty as a result of the crisis.

"We also want to ensure that our funding is used to reduce inequality and where possible contribute to a more equitable post-viral world".

MNingful Life is online
MNingful Life is a training resource that's been designed to provide learners with opportunities to explore issues and barriers faced by people experiencing multiple needs. The board and cards demonstrate a hypothetical person’s life journey from needing very intensive support to total independence.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, it isn’t possible to use MNingful Life exactly as we intended. We’re unable to get together in groups and teams and use the resource in a fully interactive way. But there are ways that it can be adapted and used in online meetings and training sessions.
