Introduction from Sue Northcott, WY-FI Programme Manager
Welcome to the December issue of the WY-FI Newsletter. This month, I'm delighted to be able to announce the launch of our new podcast series, called 'Multiple Voices: Multiple Needs'. A few of us from WY-FI have already been involved in recording them. We hope you enjoy listening, and sharing them far and wide.
We've also created a briefing document to outline the origins, current scope, successes and challenges of the West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Network, originally created by WY-FI and Humankind.

And we're really pleased to hear that the theme for the winter #seethefullpicture campaign has been announced as dual diagnosis. As always, we'll be supporting the campaign when it launches on 20th January 2020 - so do look out for it on social media.
New WY-FI Podcast Series - Multiple Voices: Multiple Needs
We’re producing a series of podcasts to share the learning and insight we’ve gathered since the project started in 2014.

In our
first podcast, Programme Manager Sue Northcott is joined by members of the WY-FI Team to give a project overview. And special guest Peter Dobson tells us a bit more about the Fulfilling Lives Programme that we’re proud to be part of.
Listen to Podcast 1 - A General Project Overview
In our second podcast, we chat to three of our Lead Multiple Needs Navigators about the benefits and challenges of multi-agency working.

Road to Recovery - Pop Up Photography Exhibition

Last week we were in Calderdale for our Road to Recovery Pop-up Photography and Poetry exhibition. This painfully honest exhibition showed the strength of the human soul when recovering from homelessness, addiction, re-offending and mental ill health.

Visitors came to see and read about experiences that most humans never have to encounter, presented by people who have been there themselves – and recovered.

Look out for coverage of the exhibition on the WY-FI website soon.

Multi-Agency Working - The West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Network

The West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Network was set up by WY-FI and Humankind in 2016. It's a great example of the benefits of multi-agency working to improve outcomes for people.
This new briefing outlines how and why it was established, who its members are, the benefits of multi-agency working and the successes the network has seen so far.

Rachel's story...WY-FI helped keep me alive
“WY-FI and Angela [Navigator] have helped to keep me alive, both physically and emotionally.

"They have incredible understanding of mental health and addiction.” - Rachel

Rachel didn’t suddenly start experiencing multiple needs in her thirties – there had been a long, slow decline in her health since the trauma she suffered as a child. The WY-FI Project would like to see systems change so that supportive interventions happen much earlier in a person’s life.

The campaign launches on Monday 20th January 2020 and will feature case studies from each of the Fulfilling Lives Projects. Look out for #seethefullpicture on social media and join in the conversation with us.
