October Newsletter

Fall is upon us, and as you can see from all the lawn signs sprinkled around town, election season is in full swing! We are a week away from ballots hitting mailboxes and a month away from election day!

It's time to Get Out The Vote! If you tell ten people to vote for me- friends, colleagues, neighbors- that makes all the difference. Spread the word about my campaign- about the opportunity to elect a woman and mom to lead the County!

I'm grateful for all of you in helping me get here. Let's do this!

In community,

Shebreh

"Inside of us, there's a continual autumn. Our leaves fall and are blown out over the water." -Rumi

Standing with Iranian Protestors
On October 11th, I'm bringing forward a resolution to the Santa Cruz City Council that sheds light on the injustices of the government against the Iranian People. The City Council will have the opportunity to vote and show solidarity with the people of Iran. I've also coauthored a resolution with California Democratic Leaders. I invite all of you to use your platforms to bring voice to the ongoing fight for women's rights and human rights in Iran.
CAMPAIGN UPDATES

Campaign Literature Drops
On October 8th and November 5th my campaign will be making the rounds through the third district, distributing campaign door hangers. If you are interesting in hitting the pavement (NOT knocking and talking- just dropping off literature) this is the perfect opportunity to spread the word about my candidacy. Please send us  an email.

Endorsement from Sam Farr
It's an honor to receive an endorsement from Former US Congressman Sam Farr. He has been a local leader and advocate for animal rights, environmental policy, transit and affordable housing for our community here on the Central Coast. Years ago, I partnered with Sam Farr about another important issue: Youth Substance Abuse Prevention. Through his support of our efforts, I wrote a grant (Drug Free Communities) and we saw a decrease of 10% in underage binge drinking in just 2 years.
Walk With Me!
Join me as I walk, knock and talk to Santa Cruz voters. If you are interested in walking with my team and I, please send us  an email.

Social Media Ask
Post on YOUR social media and TAG me in one of the following:
1. Yard Sign Photo / Selfie
2. "A vote for Shebreh is a vote for..."
3. "I'm voting for Shebreh because..."

I look forward to engaging with you!

Snag a Yard Sign!
Visibility matters! An important way to support my campaign is to display a yard sign in your window or on your lawn. Click this link to request a yard sign today!
