This past week has been a hectic one and I feel like I've barely had time to think, so this week's newsletter will be a short one...
This weekend I spent both days out and about without tights! Personally, this is big news and, while it wasn't exactly warm, I am more than ready to move on from winter. Over the past week or so I have been on a spending spree because I need this warmer weather to come at me. With the clocks moving forward and brighter evenings in the horizon there are definite signs of Spring in the air so I'm starting to feel more me again. As I said last week, the ideas are beginning to take shape in my head and I want to have fun with my clothes. This week I've stocked up on wardrobe staples but also sewing patterns and fabric that I plan to get my teeth into over the Easter hols. What can I say - winter just isn't for me!
Now I know we are not quite there yet but since purchasing the Alexa Chung x Superga trainers I'd been swooning after all I can think about are the floral midi dresses I want to wear them with.
When the warmer weather seems like it might be here to stay and we are no longer being threatened by potential snow, I plan to switch my wardrobe over. It's funny how in this change over my wardrobe will double or even triple in size. Maybe its because print and colour work better in Spring/Summer but I find myself making and buying more. Therefore, in general, I just own more clothes for these months.
Overall, my favourite season is summer but when I really think about it my favourite season for dressing has to be Spring. You get to have the fun of summer clothes but with more potential because it's not as warm so there is still an excuse to layer. But the fun kind of layers like light jackets and knits.

What's on your Spring sewing list?
Spring Clean your wardrobe! Why not prepare your wardrobe for a Spring switch over? Yes, you might not be able to wear it all now but I guarantee all the colour and prints will leave you feeling creatively inspired.

As I've said I have been shopping for Spring and these online fabric stores have been testing my willpower with their gorgeous selection of fabrics!
