The result is a heartwarming and uplifting book, full of triumphs, tribulations, and true stories of heroism. Local Bainbridge Island resident, friend, and national best-selling author, Kristin von Kreisler contributed her expertise and knowledge. Wonder Dogs is being published by Baker Publishing and will be released on July 13th. You can pre-order on Amazon now to reserve your copy!
Graduate Spotlight: Casey and Wesley
Since graduating in June of 2018, Service Dog Wesley has been Casey's constant companion and best friend. He is always by her side and loves to help Casey whenever something needs to be retrieved, including laundry from the dryer! This dynamic due loves scooter rides and going to the beach together. In addition to assisting Casey with daily activities, Wesley has provided much needed companionship and love during the pandemic. Keep up the good work, Wesley!
Cub Scouts Virtual Visit
We were delighted to be able to have a virtual visit with the 4th grade Cub Scout den from Sammamish this month. Their adventure topic for February was "Aware and Care", which focused on learning about members in their community with disabilities. Our staff provided an educational presentation while Cleo, Champ, and Casey demonstrated new skills they are learning in Advanced Training, such as retrieving objects. The Cub Scouts all agreed that Cleo, Champ and Casey are on their way to earning their Assistance Dog badge!
