Congratulations Georgia!
Georgia was placed this month as a Courthouse Facility Dog for Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center in Everett, Washington. Her handlers are Nicole Wilson (Community Engagement Coordinator, pictured left) and Hillery Gladden (Child Interview Specialist, pictured right). Dawson Place provides safety, justice, and healing to child victims of crime. Georgia will be there to give comfort to the children and make them feel safe and loved. Georgia is "paw-fect" for this job with her sweet and affectionate personality. Congratulations to this new team!
Puppy of the Month: Olive
Olive is a 4-month-old, puppy-in-training from the "O" litter. She is a sweet and smart girl who loves to learn new skills! She is very attentive to her puppy-raiser, Joanna, and enjoys playing with other dogs on campus. She has a loving personality and is very calm around children. A big thank you to Joanna for puppy-raising Olive!
Ginny Brings Joy!
Ginny was placed as a Hospital Facility Dog at Shriners Children's Spokane in 2020 with partners Katy Phillips (pictured left) and Margot Freed (pictured right). She has been making a difference comforting children and their families. Katy says, "It was a given how much the kids would adore Ginny, but the biggest surprise is how much joy Ginny brings to the parents who are so worried about their children!" Katy was a presenter recently at the American Occupational Therapy Association Inspire Conference, where she spoke about the benefits of Hospital Facility Dogs. Keep up the good work team!
A special thank you to the Bainbridge Community Foundation for their 2021 award of $10,500 to ADNW Community Outreach Programs!
