Thank You Realtors Association Maui!
Assistance Dogs of Hawaii was honored to be the recipient of the proceeds raised at the Realtors Association Maui Installation Banquet this month. Through live and silent auctions, generous donations, and a Top Dog Photo Contest, they raised enough money to sponsor a new puppy-in-training! A special thanks goes to the event committee for organizing the wonderful gala. We are deeply grateful for their support!

Graduate Update - Cedar!

Cedar graduated one year ago as a Facility Dog, and is working with Chaplain George Scott at Punahou School and Arcadia Retirement Residence. She is a natural at her job and is able to provide comfort and joy both to students and the elderly. George says "she embraces everyone with a kind greeting and seems to understand the needs of the person with whom she interacts." Well done, Cedar and George, for making a difference in people's lives!
Kamali'i Elementary School Visit
Grace and Nalu were happy to visit the special education class at Kamali’i Elementary School this month. They helped the students learn more about our program and Assistance Dogs. The students were very engaged and asked a lot of interesting questions. Clearly, Grace and Nalu enjoyed the attention and belly rubs afterwards!

Puppy of the Month - Ozzie!

The "O" litter born in May this year are all growing and learning beautifully, and have now settled into their puppy raising homes. Ozzie will remain here on campus to go through the puppy training process with ADH Trainer, Emily. Can you say "Teacher's Pet?" He is energetic, friendly and loves to learn! The Advanced Dogs on campus are great role models for him. Mahalo Emily, for giving Ozzie such a good start!

Doggie Spa

The dogs on campus love their "spaw" days that include brushing, bathing, and paw-dicures. Grooming is very important for their health and well-being and we follow a schedule of daily brushing, weekly nail trimming and monthly baths. They seem to love the pampering as well!
Please support Assistance Dogs of Hawaii and help change the life of someone with a physical disability or other special need. Donations of all amounts are greatly appreciated.
