ASSISTANCE DOGS NORTHWEST - March 2021
ADNW Dogs Comfort Students
Our Therapy Dog teams went to Bainbridge High School to provide comfort to the students and staff following the tragic automobile accident last week. Cleo, Coco, Casey, and Aslan provided comfort to everyone they met. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in our community.
New Graduates!
We recently finished Secondary Handler training for Facility Dogs Ginny and Valor! Secondary Handlers work at a hospital or Child Advocacy Center and facilitate interactions between the dogs and patients. Our newest handlers are: Margot Freed, a Recreational Therapist from Shriners Hospital Spokane, and Elisa Adolphsen, the MDT Coordinator from Kid's Hope in Moses Lake. Congratulations Margot and Elisa!

Puppy of the Month: Gilligan
Gilligan is an 8-month old, Black Labrador Retriever, currently in Basic Training. He is a calm and confident dog with a sweet and snuggly disposition. He's learning how to ignore distractions, have calm greetings, and play in the snow. Many thanks to his puppy raiser, Kathy Woodford, for giving him such a great start!
